Life Path Number 9

Those born with a Life Path number 9 are natural leaders, and they assume they are in charge even if they are not. If in a department store, people think they work there. They take care of everyone else but need to learn to speak up when they need help, love, and hugs. Nines often feel unloved or abandoned by their mother or father, or they feel completely responsible for them. It's hard for them to let go of the past.

People with a Life Path 9 are humanitarians. If your Life Path is a 9 you have an extremely strong sense of compassion and generosity. You are selfless and helping others is very important to you. You not only want to help others, but you feel very deeply for those less fortunate than yourself.

You are friendly and people like you. Your generosity knows no bounds, and you give freely of your money, time and energy. Your ultimate goal is working toward a better world.

Because you are so giving you may find that your finances are not in the greatest shape. You may also have a tendency to be scattered … your talents lie in so many different directions that you may find it difficult to focus on just one. If you are not following your Life Path and are instead pursuing materialistic gains, you could feel a deep level of dissatisfaction with yourself.

Number 9 symbolizes endings, spiritual consciousness. An individual with a Life Path number 9 can overcome a lot, and is often required to do so in their lifetime. If you have a Life Path Number 9 you most likely had a difficult relationship with one or both of your parents early in your life.

Life path number 9 is the number of completion and resolution. You will need to make choices, and not resist endings. Below are some key points you might want to take into consideration to help you on your path …

Your biggest battle in life is with endings and completion. You hate to see things finish, but you also are tempted to just end things so that it's on your terms. Just take it as it comes.

Learn that every ending contains a beginning. You might do best with a career that lets you start and finish multiple projects. You'll get better at seeing the continuum of the process rather than the beginnings and endings.

You may have a tendency to end relationships every time you encounter a rough patch. Teach yourself to see those situations as temporary. It's worth sticking to a commitment for many reasons, including just because you said you would. Don't always take the easy way out.

Gardening may be a healing thing for you. Not house plants, but food, things that have a season. You'll enjoy seeing the progress throughout the year and knowing that it is a constantly revolving wheel.

My life path is number 9. And I don’t believe that’s true about me I think that when a rough patch it’s my relationship I don’t just bail and walk away I do everything I can to work it out no matter what it is so I don’t think that part of me is accurate. I’m a Leo and as a Leo we’re extremely devoted and loyal we have huge hearts and we love more than we should and that’s not in my nature to walk away from somebody because he has an issue or we’re hitting a rough patch I’ll hang in there until there’s nothing left so I disagree with that part. As far as having a rough issue with my mom and dad in the beginning of my life I did because my father was an alcoholic and put us in foster homes and child shelters so I did have an issue with my father and my mom and it seems like everybody after that has been like my father my first two husbands were alcoholics and we’re verbally abusive and my boyfriend’s an alcoholic so it seems like I’m following a path or trying to find somebody like my father. I do agree however I have a hard time starting things sometimes and ending things because I like stability and I don’t like things to change I like things to stay the way they are I don’t do real well with change I feel very uncomfortable when my life has to change period even if it should change it’s for the best I still hesitate on changing my life

I agree with Nik. Everything else is spot on apart from ending relationships. It’s almost the opposite….. we put up, we try to fix things, we stick it out till there’s nothing left. Everything else rings perfectly true though. I have attracted individuals who are TAKERS in the past.

I can totally relate with this. Cuz even when I know and do persist in a relationship there is a part of me that just wanna quit it. And I also get bored easily. Yes, I do have the wisdom to turn things around but these tenancies do exist in me.

I am also a 9 and look at this issue slightly differently. What makes sense to me is that, if we could sum up a 9 in one quick blurb, it could be said to be the “number of completion.” That is my experience. This is a lifetime of completion and letting go. Letting go, however, can only take place in the mind. It is the letting go of everything we think we think and believe we believe, none of which I have found is true when I begin to question those thoughts and beliefs I cling to (Do I really have to mow and she cooks? Why can’t I cook?). Holding onto a relationship to make it work is the opposite side of the same coin as the letting go. We, as 9’s, will play both sides out in many ways through our lifetime. It will not only take place with relationships. This playing out of both sides of the same coin could take place with food, jobs, places to live, vacations, alcohol, etc. “Do I stay here or move?” “Do I leave this job or continue on?” “Do I go to Cancun or Rome?” Ultimately, with relationships, we will do everything we can to stay-for awhile, turning our back on things we don’t like. However, as we let go of beliefs (she can mow today while I cook), the other must change with us. If fundamental change inside of the relationship does not occur because the other person is not questioning their belief system along side of us, we, as 9s, will eventually move on.

Elvis Presley, Alecia Keys and Harrison Ford are listed in the celebrities that match my life path number twice. Other than that, this matches exactly who I am.

I have a life path 5, destiny 3, personality 3, and soul urge 9. My question is, is this combination too scattered? And are the 3’s considered lucky?

Matty October 31, 2016 at 9:06 am

Also, one thing I forgot to mention that I am a big animal lover that since I moved to Phoenix last year and bought a house with my spouse. I was able to do my own version of animal rescue that now we have 10 dogs, 5 cats, 2 tortoises, and 1 bearded dragon. I also volunteer at the local non-kill rescue groups. My passion is to help more animals. My main work as a hypnotherapist and coach is allowing me to help more women and children which is also part of my higher purposes. Again, I did not develop to realize my true purposes until after I was medically retired from the navy in 2010. So my life has a huge upswing within the last 6 years right after my birthday.

Matty October 31, 2016 at 8:54 am

Thank you so much for sharing all these info. My birth name is no. 9 and my birthday is no. 3 which by the way are significantly influencing my whole life so far without realizing it. I am 40 now and I am definitely on my true path. My life journey and experiences with personality traits fit perfectly to both no. 9 & 3. It took me so many years to seek my higher purposes. I have been very intuitive since I was a child (like 2 or 3) but difficult childhood was the big block to my intuition. Not until after I got out of the navy in 2010 when I was 34. That was one of my biggest turning point for spiritual awakenings! I now am serving my community as a hypnotherapist, life coach, and energy healer. I am also a CPR instructor. I now completely work for myself since 2011. I never thought that I would be doing these types of work because I grew up in a quite conservative Christian family and my academic background was in science and engineering. Talking about different Internet and talents and cannot make up my mind as a Jane of al trades for my whole life up tip age of 34! I did not graduate with my Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine until 2012! I am definitely a late bloomer. But everything really makes totally sense now. Things are going very well and shifting very fast in a such a good way.

Religion has not much to do with spirituality. My whole entire life is an example of follow my gut instincts and synchronicity. My accelerated spiritual grown happened in 2010. I am now dedicate my time to do meditation on daily basis which helps develop my intuition further. Consequently I am better at what I do in my field. And I now can be very confident and say I am good at what I do and getting more and more quality clients and referrals without me making much of efforts. I learned how to align myself to the Universe in such a way that I can manifest things I want much much faster. Reading your numerology info is also about divine timing that I am ready for the info.

One interest thing I would like to share is that I used to hate my birth name so badly that I actually officially changed my name couple times. Like I said before, my birth name was no. 9. Then I changed my name on my official documents which turned out to be number 11 for several years (close to 9 years!!). Then I changed it again right at the time I got my US citizenship near my birthday. That name is still now my official name up to this point. It is no. 10. However, earlier this month, I started to used a alternative name personally and professionally which is no. 9! I did not learn about or have interested in numberology until couple days ago. It came to full circle that now I am no longer rejecting my past or angry at bad things in my past including my old name. I completely made peace within myself. I embraced who I used to be which was difficult childhood with lots of abuses. I made peace with my parents and rebuilt quite close relationship with my mother particularly. I was able to accomplish things that I am very proud of in my later years since I always jump from things to things. I even changed my majors in my undergraduate studies for 4 times!! I used to get bored and give up very easily and always tried to find easy way out all the time. I used to hate all those traits about myself. Now I learned to appreciate my life experiences and the journey without beating myself up anymore.

I now tend to attract clients who went through similar experiences and feel stuck in life that I can now help them with my personal experience along with my professional knowledge.

Besides my life path numbers, I also did all my immediate family and my spouse life path numbers. Every single one of them is spot on!! They are extremely accurate. I appreciate whoever created or contributed to this knowledge of numberology as a tool and guidance. Blessings to all and to you.

To those who are drawn to read my post, I would like to say. Learn to listen to your gut feeling. We do not stump upon this site to learn about numbers by accident. It is somewhere subconsciously we sent out the request to ask for guidance in life and the universe responded to it and presented this info to us. Keep an open mind and heart and listen to our inner voice. May all of you finding your inner wisdom and be able to transform your life and be who you truly are.
Thank you.

Hi my birth date is 3/26/1960 and my partner is 1/15/1959. How compatible are we?

Erin July 2, 2016 at 11:21 am

Hi I calculated my number and then my boyfriends and my two friend’s. Each time they were so accurate. Actually I was hoping mine would be 22 like Bill Clinton so I would be able to get away with anything and everything.
My one friend is an alcoholic and addict, recovering thank God. He has a life path of 9. He is so a #9!
I am a Presbyterian and just starting to explore Buddhism so, I will be both I think. He is a lapsed Catholic so I am going to suggest he try Buddhism too.

DEVON L WEBSTER May 18, 2016 at 10:48 am

Hello. Thank you very much for this. My life path nunber is 27/9 and your feedback is so accurate on much of my truth. I’m highly into spirituality, outer limits, the bigger picture and the science behind God. I am talented and picking one would be far unlike me because all that I can do is what I do. If I had a career where I can apply all my talents and way of believing then things will be more simple, but instead I play many fields in my life. So I’m running around back and forth. May you support me with some feedback that will I can apply ?

MaurD May 17, 2016 at 10:04 am

Hello My life path is a 9…I was brought up in the Christian church , I have been learning New Truths, I am Having a Hard time Deciding If I should stay in my church And continue to search truth or if I should leave And continue on my own personal spiritual journey.

LK October 8, 2016 at 4:43 am

Do your own thing for a while and see where it takes you. Church is great but it’s definitely worth exploring other philosophies to gain a more balanced view, especially if you’ve been raised in a church going christian family, as I was. Let’s face it, the main benefit of the religious/church based lifestyle (outside of religious instruction, of course) is the social and networking aspect. I certainly appreciated having a strong christian church foundation at a young age but it has not turned out to be the least bit spiritually fulfilling as an adult. I’ve found my own way to a really satisfying and peaceful place through much reading, meditation, counselling, soul searching, etc. I am now in the best place (so far) spiritually as a result of finding my own way, which is good for my family, everyone around me and most importantly, myself (as a precious child of God). What I’m really saying is keep an open mind. There’s nothing wrong with doing both, either, and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, then my advice is to run, run, run! Who’s to say you have to leave your church in order to learn and grow spiritually? No-one, that’s who!
